    Hi Abhiram,

Instead of displaying message why don't Hide Pay Slip / Payroll related services during the Payroll run in ESS. It is Best practice doing so...

    Regards,

    Rajeswara.

    Hi Abhi,

If you do want to create a message during payroll you can do so. Please see the link below where someone came up with a similar solution. This particular example pertains to the ESS Personal Profile application and also makes the application read only so employees cannot change their data during the payroll run which you may or may not care about although I would recommend it if you want to take this approach. The example is quite thorough and even has the code that he used in order to accomplish it. For your purposes the code to display the message would probably be the same.

Making ESS Personal Profile read-only dynamically

You would want to likely figure out if you want this handled at an Application Level (Ex: Personal Profile) or if you want it displayed at a different time (Ex: On the log in screen).

    Thanks,

    Imran

Are you using WDA applications or the WDJ, if WDJ may be from proxy class of home page area frame work you can control the link (like enabling/disabling) or can try to show some additional text.

For WDA apps may be you can try same from the launch pad badi etc.
