Managed system configuration error

Dear Expert,

While doing managed system configuration step-"Check Configuration"  for my solman (7.1)system itself, I am  getting attached error.

Hello,

This si not a big problem - everythjing should work.

To get rid of the problem:

- Ensure that SAPHOSTAGENT is up to date - the latest patch is around 183.

- Check the SMD Agent (DAA) logs to make sure there are no problems communicating with SAPHOSTAGENT

- If you install the latest SAPHOSTAGENT version restart the SMD Agent to trigger transfer of data to solution manger.

If the problem is corrected you can see it in LMDB:

Dear Oliver ,

My current host agent patch level is 62,Please check below screens hot.

I have downloaded the patch 183 for my 7.20_rel SAP Host agent.

I just want to confirm that to upgrade host agent should we follow the same procedure as we follow in kernel upgrade , by replacing the old exe files to the latest patch file at location C:\Program Files\SAP\hostctrl\exe.

And  one more confusion After uncaring the latest patch 183 (SAPHOSTAGENT183_183-20005735.SAR) , i can't able to find below mentioned files in patch 183

saphostctrl.exe,saphostexec.exe,saposcol.exe,sapstartsrv.exe    

Please advice.

Hello,

Not quite - the process for SAPHOSTAGENT update is different.

Simply unpack the new version, the open an a shell in the folder and run:  saphostexec -upgrade

On Microsoft windows server SAPHOSTAGENT will be installed in C:\Program Files\SAP\hostctrl\

Before and after the upgrade you can nivigate to the C:\Program Files\SAP\hostctrl\exe folder and execute  saphostexec -version  to confirm the installed version.

In the example below you can see version 125 which is very old:

Dear Oliver ,

I have downloaded the Patch 183 (SAPHOSTAGENT183_183-20005735.SAR).

Refering below link for upgrade http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/39/a1f623bae74a2784f88282c8652070/content.htm

But after uncaring of Patch 183 ,I am not getting below files in new patch level .

sapstartsrv.exe

saposcol.exe

saphostctrl.exe

saphostexec.exe

According to link the last file will be used in upgrade

saphostexec.exe -upgrade

but this is not present in new patch level 183.

Hello,

I downloaded the same version - SAPHOSTAGENT183_183-20005735.SAR - it works fine for me.

Maybe the file was corrupted during download??

I tested it to make sure the steps are ok:

1. Extract the SAR file

2. After extraction check for saphostexec.exe there are 52 files total at about 220MB

3. Run the upgrade command

4. Check the result
