Hide selection screen fields of iw28 and iw38.

Hi experts,

How to hide selection screen fields of iw28 and iw38. We have tried with transaction variants and copying the standard program to a Zprogram.

Both of them are not working. If someone can help us in hiding these fields through configuration, will be highly appreciated..

I haven't fully gone through the threads. I am replying to your original thread understanding that due to some problem you are even prepared to have ZTcodes for these reports.

Few Alternatives in this direction.:

1.Hide fieldsin the selection screens and save as variant name format U_UserId,  i.e., if your userId is USER123 ten the variant name will be U_USER123. This will bring the saved selection screen everytime you execute. But this is a local (User level) arrangement. This might not be your option.

2. Save the desired selection screen with a variant name say 1234.

Now ask your ABAPer to create a Ztcode say ZIW28  (using Tcode SE93) as under

See the Program name (RIQMEL20), this is Program name of IW28.

See the variant name 1234 you have created in Start with Variant field.

You need to do same thing for IW38  also in a similar way (to have a Tcode ZIW38  for program RIAUFK20).

(As you've mentioned, you need not copy standard program to Zprogram to have a ZTcode for a standard program)

3. Create Transaction Variants for these Tcodes through SHD0 (Tcode).

Option 2 might suit to you.

Then go for SHD0 (option3)

OR

Create your Zreport using Infoset Query. Here you can opt not to have multiple selection push buttons even.

Only thing is, these two are specialised areas. If you have to to it, you need to learn first, if not already did.

Jogeswar,

I know transaction variants. We cannot hide the selection screen fields using that.

Where as copied in Z is giving issues everytime.

Dont know about infoset Query.

Now I could understand your requirement level.

I recommend you to go for full scale developments (because you haven't worked  in  Infoset Quries), with the help of your ABAPer. According to me, you'll not be able to find way in Standard.

Hi,

      It's standard functionality which available those Transaction codes(IW28,IW38).Click on Goto-Variants-Save as Variants- Variant Attributes(Tick for Hide fields) and write variant name and description.

Dear Dhanunjaya

Follow the below path for IW38 Selection screen:

SPRO-->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-->Maintenance and Service Processing--> Maintenance and Service Orders-->List Editing-->Define List Variants. Execute this node.

Select "Set List Editing for Order Data". Double click on this.

Click on " Selection screen list change mode".

This will take you to the screen : Change PM Orders: Selection of orders (Nothing but IW38 Selection screen.).

To hide the fields click on ""Variant Attribuites"" Tab on Left top corner of the screen.

Here you can hide, protect, or make the fields required as per your requirement and click on save.

Generate the TR as per your requirement.

In the similar  fashion you can explore for IW28.

Hope your issue is resolved.

Can we assign it to a seperate tcode, so that it will not effect the standard one.
