date range selection in Bex

Hi,

I have a client requirement where he wants if a date is given in the selection screen on BEX report then that date should be searched in a range of dates and if found in that date range then it should show the output.Is there any option for that in Bex.

Remember he doesn't want to use Date range.

Arvind,i have covered the same scenario and situation in one of my blog.

Please search with the term Status of tickets based on their dates.

But user wants the record to be fetched in the below given condition.

User wants to view the data as per his given input. i.e there is 1 records and its start date 10.10.2009 and end date is 31.03.2011.

User has given in the selection of cal day as 10.02.2010. Now this date falls into the start and end date range of this record. So this record should be picked.

How to specify this at Bex level.
