Why the field is appearing in Light grey/disabled kind of look in ESS?

Hi Folks,

In ESS, Date of Birth field in Family members/ Dependents infotype is displayed in light grey color(screenshot attached)

What is that property set , that made the appearance so in portal?

As there is no value for DOB, its in disabled state, once u set the value then it will be enabled.

actually there is no input field to give the details of Date of Birth.

The detailed scenario is this.
I am from portal team . I made the "Date of Birth " field in family members/dependents infotype invisible in development portal as requested through FPM (right click the Date of Birth field in overview screen -->settings for current configuration-->and set the property invisible to yes). created a TR for it.

Date of Birth field is not visible in development system

Then moved the TR to testing system.
There the particular Date of Birth field appears as grey out in Family members/dependents infotype.This is quite confusing  since the field is invisible in development portal but not in testing system.

My guess is some technical team members have edited some properties .

If it the case what is that property that they have set, or some changes with components which made the date of birth field to grey out in testing system?

If any other cases also, please elaborate.

When u made it hidden, did you make both label and textview to hide? (I think in personalization, it will only show as one field, in case if it show two fields, pls make sure to hide both the label and text views of DOB)

No, In  development system when I made textview to invisible automatically the label also made invisible. But when I moved the TR to testing system the label appears as greyed out.

One question?

Since we hide the Date Of Birth field invisible  in overview screen itself, does it playing a role here?

it's looks like enhancement done in personal information application and made that field properties changed to grey out.

check that application configuration screen under FPM_FORM_UIBB component.

Kindly mention what is that particular property set that made this to gray out.
because as for as my knowledge read only doesn't make the field to grey out.

In FPM_LIST_UIBB component, for this family overview component configuration check the field properties Display Type are as below or different.
