'WAIT' step not working...

Hi Experts,

I have two programs, one for PO event - created and the other for event - changed.

I have given BUS2012 - created in 'start events' tab of my WF. Now, i have a 'wait' step, that waits untill a PO is changed.

Where should i bind this event in my workflow, such that the workflow continues after i execute my second program, which creates an event - 'changed'??

Regards,

Viswa .S

    Hi Srinivasan,

As far i know, moment you mention event in wait for event step, entry will be created in system and can be hecked from t-code SWE3. if no entry has been created for your event please create one and let know if it works?

Check the different step types in the workflow builder. There is a step type "Wait" (or was it "Wait for event"). Just set that kind of step into your workflow and define your event there.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Viswa,

I think your requirement is :

1.) Trigger 1st workflow when PO get created. This is DONE

2.) If a PO get changed then trigger Changed event based on your custom program and 2nd workflow will get triggered and 1st workflow will completed. This is not DONE.

Please let us know how you have tested your wait event is not working ?

To achieve the same you have design your workflow with parallel processing using FORK in 1st workflow. One branch of FORK will contain actula approval process and other branch will contain wait step. You donot have to do any binding just assign the business object and event and click on auto binding.

Please let us know if you need more detail.

      Hi Prakash,

I have only a single WF. My requirement is to trigger the WF for the 'CREATED' event, then it has to wait untill the 'CHANGED' event.

Should i bind BUS2012-CHANGED anywhere else (like in header data) other than the step type "WAIT"?
