Workflow in CM

Hi,

I have created forms using XMLFormsBuilder tool to put in content.

a) Now how do I set up step-by-step workflow with approval process before the content is actually published?

i have seen the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/db/a4bf4db1d011d5993800508b6b8b11/frameset.htm but it is not of much use.

b)how will the contents created be edited at each workflow stage?will the xml file be available at each stage or the document itself?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Portal gives you an Approval Process not a workflow it's not the same:

"The approval process allows you to make sure that documents are checked by one or more people before being published. You determine which approval steps are necessary and the people, groups, or roles that are responsible for approving the steps. "

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/04/9053ad76fd0948b4ec2abf97898a3e/frameset.htm

To use this service you have to activate a repository service:

i am also working in the same area.

a) can you tell the difference between the two process(workflow and approval)?

b)how can the contents be edited by different approvers(if necessary)?

Approval process:

The approval process allows you to make sure that documents are checked by one or more people before being published. You determine which approval steps are necessary and the people, groups, or roles that are responsible for approving the steps.

Workflow:

It is not for document.

NO, the approvers can not modify the document, they can give your feedback but not modify it.

If you do that, the approval process is broken.
