Error while installing SAP Business One 9.0 Server Tool

Former Member

Hi,

Here is my landscape idea: I would like to have License server and application server installed separately. I had License server 9.0 PL09 and application server already installed.

I uninstalled the server tool from my license server machine and tried to install PL10 server tool. However, i am getting a screen where I have to select a filename for SLD backup and hen I click on browse, its all blank. Please could you help?

I have attached the screenshot of the same.

Hi,

Me too faced the same issue

Open regedit find for SAP

Dont forget to check match whole string only. And click find.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> Software --> Wow6432node--> SAP

Delete the sap folder then it works fine

Ok. So, just that i have uninstalled everything. Shall I install 8.8 again and proceed with upgrade to 9.0 PL10? Which is the wizard to upgrade?

Well, no, of course. But problem is I came across this screen only once; how I solved this problem I can't quite remember.

There's an SAP Note 1734735, which talks about missing permission to C:\Temp folder. Perhaps you can try the solution there to grant full permission to that folder, and then specify a path.

Hi,

Can you enter a path in the field and give a name to the backup? E.g. YourPath\SLDBackup

I tried that, it says, Access denied or SQL driver not found.

Did you ever back up the old SLD database? Enter that path?

If you reinstall PL09 server tools and run the upgrade wizard to PL10, does the error happen?

There is no server tool upgrade wizard, right? For the server tool, you always get to uninstall the old version and do a clean/fresh install. Please correct me if wrong.

I believe not. The upgrade wizard take cares of server tool upgrade as well, at least with the SLD. It's the safest way.
