SAP QM-Notification type is not showing in QM10

Hi,

I want to check the list of quality notification using T code QM10 for notification type ZQ. But, in notification type field I am not finding ZQ type.

Please tell me, what are the steps to be followed while creating & assigning quality notification?

See this picutre. You need to login to 200 client and create the Notification type to generate transport request.

It seems you are in very early stages of SAP.  In such case posting your queries like the present one in SCN, is not appropriate. Learn these fundamentals from your colleagues.

yes, I am new to SAP. These are the clients we using in development server and i have access for 120 only.

Then you need to talk to BASIS people. Perhaps you do not have Authorization for Customizing. About fundamentals you've asked, SCN is for members with some basic knowledge. Had this query been in some other spaces, your post would have been deleted by now. Believe me, this is not to discourage you. Read this document on the front page.

Please respond to the above question, so that things will be clear.

Means a transport request is created when you create a Notification type in Development server. you are supposed to transport this request to Production client. If you had done this, confirm that. To me it seems you haven't done this.

Please explain how to check generated Customization request are transported to production or not.

Bcz I checked in Quality, here its picking Notification Type and QM10 is working. But the same thing in Production is not working.

This indicates the request has been transported upto Quality. Now you have to identify the request and get it transported to Production.

You can identify the request by using the Tcode SE10 in client 200 DEV. Give the UserId (who created) at the top, Tick Released  at the bottom and press Enter. Here many requests will be infront of you. Use Binocular icon and search with string 'ZQ' your notification type.  Also you can search by the userId who created it. Once identified, get this request transported to PRD.

Note: Search by Notification type will be successful only if the creating person used this 'ZQ' in the request description.

Last option:

In development server delete this Notification type, and re-create and configure. Now a new request will be generated. Now you get this transported to both Quality and Prodn.

Quality System not allowing me to do SE10. Coming to last option, in development serve notification type was not there. Now can I create Notification Type in development serve!

As per your post, this was your path of creating Notification Type in 200 client of DEV server.

SPRO-->IMG-->QM-->Quality Notifications-->Defects Recording-->Define Notification Type-->Define Notification Type.

OK!

If you can not find your Notification Type here Create it and transport the request.

If you find it, delete it and create again.
