Hide Print Button on Printout.

Hi Everyone,

I am using print button on Dashboard.

but when we click on print button what I want is. printout should show print button.

Can we achieve this?

I have checked with SAP BO Dashboards 4.1 SP3 Patch1 and this seems to be a default behavior of the component. The print button is hidden in the print out by default.

To show the print button in the print: You can use an image of a print icon / text component behind the print button. Use no text in the Print button and hide background.

See the attached xlf.

How to open the file:

1. Download the zip file.

2. Extract the file Sample.xlf.txt.

3. Rename it to Sample.xlf.

4. Open in Dashboards Designer tool.

Hi Ayush,

You place a toggle butto behind the pirnt button and change the name of the toggle button to Print.

This will solve ur requirement.

but toggle button is for on and off.
I think text box is more better option.

for toggle we have to put 'Print' in both Cell.

Yes for on/off you have to name it as Print/Print ....

If you use text box it might not print exactly like a button.

Toggle button looks similar.

Its again ur choice... using toggle is simple.

I hope there is no option to do that, even when you try to use dynamic visibility to hide at the point of invoking the printer the button should be visible.

But in my dashboard button is Disable. I want to display it on printout.

Tried with the sample scenario in my machine, yes the print button is not getting displayed in the print out. If you want to display the print button, then just use the rectangle component & text component just for display purpose. with any assignment which gives the viewer as perception of the button.

Make sure the text & rectangle component look similar and formats.
