Trading partner in the sales order

Dear Friends,

We have GL mapping(Tcode VKOA) in the sales order based on the Trading partner which is assigned in the customer Master Record for the Intercompany Sales. We have different company codes which will be having Intercompany sales. For example Company code A can do the Intercompany Sales with Company Code B,C,D, E e.t.c. GL account will be picked based on the Trading partner assigned in the Customer Master.

Now we have an issue while determining GL account. Suppose Company code A is doing a transaction with company code B by assigning Trading partner as B in the customer Master. This scenario works fine. Suppose Company code A is doing a transaction with Company code C we need to change Tranding partner as C in the Customer Master. Similarly with D & E e.t.c every time trading partner need to be changed. Then only respective GL account will be picked in the Sale order.

One more issue is if at all we missed out changing partner in the Customer Master it will also affect the open Sales orders which have been created for other company codes.

Is there any wayout to assign Trading partner in the Sales order so that a default Trading partner will be assigned in the customer master. whenever we need to change the trading partner we can directly do it in the sales order without disturbing the customer master.

Please assist.

with regards,

Dayanand

Dayanand,

Try maintaining all the different Trading partners in the customer master, that way system will let you the option of manually choosing the right partner based on the company code that is being traded with.

Wouldn't this work?

Thanks,

Dear Ravin,

How can we maintain different Trading Partners in Customer Master when we have only one field and only one value can be maintained.

Any other suggestion please.
