Creation of Screen Variant in which client?

Dear Experts,

I want to make a field mandatory. When I try to create a screen variant in SHD0 (dev client), it says data does not exist and when I try to create the same in testing client, it says, changes are not permitted. Where should I create the transaction variant?

Hi Mani,

First you check with your basis guy, that whether your testing client is locked. If so, ask him to unlock for some time, so that you can create the transaction variant. One more thing. The transaction variant and all the screen variants are transportable objects. Your testing client must ask for TR.
