Make required entries for dep.area 01

Dear All,

All of sudden , we are getting an error "Make required entries for dep.area 01 (Message no. AA142) while creating an asset even though we have not changed any configuration for asset master /Dep arae user field status. Strange part is that am not leaving any fields empty ,still am getting the above error and system is not allowing to save the asset.

Had any one faced similar type of issue ? If so please advice how did you tackled this.

Thanks,

Ram

    Hi Rama,

I have just faced the same issue of "Make required entries for depreciation area 01". In my case one of the field in the screen layout rule was marked as required but that field was not appearing on the depreciation area screen. because of which i was getting this message. As i dont need that field so i marked that field as optional and now i can create assets.

In my case field which marked as required but not appearing on the screen was "Base Value %'. So please check your depreciation screen layout and find out is thr any field marked as required but not appearing on the screen for input.

    Hope this helps....

    Regards,

    Hi,

According to me this issue comes up when one of the required field in Asset Master is not filled. So you can get that field to know, when you make any changes in the system like changes the name of asset and then try to save the asset. Then system will directly send you the required field in the asset master and then you can fill the same and then save the asset.

    Regards,

    Malhar.
