Disbale Purch.Group in ME21N

Hi Experts,

I need to disable the Purch. Group field  in ME21N in Org.data Tab in Header. I tried the below path but its giving the dump.

Go to SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Screen Layout at Document Level - Here for Field Selection Key "AKTH" (i.e. Create), under Field Selection group "Administrative data, header", check whether "Purchasing group" field is suppressed if yes then make it mandatory / optional as required and then check in ME21N.

Folks. Please  let me know if any body knows the solution for this.

Hi Gurunath,

You can achieve this by using SHD0 transaction by creating a transaction variant for ME21N. As you said, this can be disabled for all the conditions. You had a worry that, this may be set for a particular Document Type or something like that. So what you have to do is to, uncheck the With Content option for all fields that contains values. This is a transportable object and can be transported to the quality & production environments also.

This will work. I was having a similar requirement for ME29N and I had done this.

    Create a custom varient for the me21n by using the SHD0 transaction.

Which ever fields you want to make disable make it and save .

Thanks for the reply. But Problem in screen variant is we will have any document type or anything. But here my case is I need to disable for all conditions.
