    Hi ,

What is issue , if you continue to use Monthly lot size?

Purpose of Period lot sizing is to reduce no of purchase order & even when you run on 15th, MRP will not change already released PO, it will only gather new requirement in another PR. It depends on how frequently , you enter new Demand-Planned Independent requirements.

Normally , there is coreleation between new demand entry & MRP run. I am not sure you need to co-relate & change lot sizing .

    Hope it helps,

    Jatin

      Hi Bhargavi,

You wish to generate one PR & PO for periods mentioned above, if i understand requirement correctly.

You can try using Planning time fence if above no of days are same( It seems like 29 days) & use P1/P2/P3/P4 as MRP type instead of PD.

That way system will not plan PR for requirement on 30th day of month1.

But you have to stick to run MRP on specific days as mentioned ( Manually using MBDT)

      Hope ite helps,

      Jatin

    Bhargavi,

In general, you should not change your lot size in your material masters unless there is a compelling business reason to do so.

Just the act of running MRP more often than once per month, by itself, is not a compelling reason to change the lot size. MRP is quite happy to run using Monthly lot size, as often, or as seldom, as you wish.

Instead, you have to ask yourself what are the reasons for the new MRP schedule, and what are the business users' expectations from the resulting MRP run. You can easily see the results by experimenting in your quality system.

    Best Regards,
