Anybody know if the Crystal reports 2011 and 2013 will work with Business object 3.1 (CMC) SP5 & Crystal Server 2008 SP5?

    Hi Ahsan,

Yes, reports created in CR 2013 and CR 2011 should work fine in XI 3.1 or CR Server 2008.

It is however, recommended to have like versions of Server and Client tools which means you would need CR 2008 Designer for XI 3.1. So, you can open reports in the CR 2008 designer and save them so that their file formats change to 12.0. I'm assuming you can also create a .biar file for these reports and import them in XI 3.1.

Thanks Ludek, this is really helpful.

According to the document that you have provide it, if you see at the very bottom "SAP Crystal Server 2008 V1-Sep-14-2009- Dec31-2013". When I called my vendor he refer me to that category. My company purchase this server & tool when this came out (2008 & 2009) that may be the reason it is now expired for support.

    Hello Abhilash,

thanks for the information. I'm planning to implement Crystal reports 2013 tool, I also think, it will not make any difference for performance. I may need to consider BO 4.0 CMC in order to see better performance for Ad-Hoc purpose & monitor reports.

    thank you

    Ahsan
