Error raised when Intercompany Asset Transfer

Dear All,

I try to test one scenario with Tcode ABT1N: move one asset under a company code 1201 to company code 1301.

When i tried to save but it rejects posting, meanwhile pops up the error message:

Account object Functional Area differs from that in asset master record

Message no. AAPO189

Diagnosis

Account assignment object Functional Area with its value 6401 is not the

same as the value entered in the asset master record.

System Response

The system keeps the current account assignment object Functional Area

with the value 6401, or the posting is rejected.

Procedure

Check the account assignment.

I have already checked the account assignment.

Can anyone help on this?

Very appreciated for your help!

Cheers

Jill

    Check the SAP Note 618269..

Also check the field selection for the field GEBER.

    Refer to the similar error

    Hello Jill Wang,

Please change the GEBER field status either suppress or optional in order to stay safe side from this error message if it is maintained as a required field.

Please find the Barth's answer for the same query in this discussion thread.
