Access is Denied on the Options Tray

I have a Javascript error Access is Denied when I click on Option Tray icon (to personalise iView).

It is not a Security issue with the user - as same user on http://localhost works OK.

But when I do this on http://<servername> I do get the error.

I thought it was due to IE6 fault but it is not

(I have installed the Hotfix and applied the Registry changes as per note http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=889407 - but still fails).

I have figured it out. I need to use a fully qualified domain name in the URL. It is only a Development and once Productive it will get a correct DSN entry. (I put an entry in my local PCs C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file as temporary measure).

So the URL must be fully qualified when the application is accessed outside of the Server. Otherwise the Option Tray will fail with access denied script error.
