missing old postings in FAGLB03 ( new GL )

Hi all gurus of SAP.

We are having a problem in test environment. We have gone from 4.6C to ECC6.0, and new GL is activated.

Everything is OK, but in FAGLB03, postings made in the previous classic ledger are not showed.

we have set in system ledger 0L .

I have attached two screenshots with classic GL view and new GL view in order to compare.

It´s the first time that we have done this, so it´s possible we have forgotten anything.

I hope you can help us.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    1. Could you please run the report using SE38 'SAPF048S' and check whether the secondary index gets updated with Ledger information. Please try this out in test environment.

    2. Also check this transaction. Here please select 'Load Docs in all Ledgers' radio button. Run this with Test run and see if you find any doc available for such update.

    3. Check whether the tables are updated with all information in totals record table 'FAGLFLEXT' or line item table 'FAGLFLEXA'.

    4. Check the report 'FAGL_MIG_SUBSEQ_POST_OPITEMS' and 'RFINDEX -> this report has to be executed twice' as well, if required.

      Hi all,

thanks to your help and surfing in the internet, I have got the solution:

In the standard system, reading data from the tables of classic General Ledger Accounting is deactivated. This means that the programs of classic General Ledger Accounting (such as classic financial statement) read the balances from the tables of new General Ledger Accounting. If you want the programs of classic General Ledger Accounting to read the tables of classic General Ledger Accounting, select the indicator Read Classic General Ledger (GLT0). ( table faglactivec) You should only select this indicator if the indicator Write Classic General Ledger (GLT0) is also selected.

But select "read" indicator can lead some problems, it´s not recommended by SAP. Note 1158830.

So SAP solve this problem with note 1155999 and 1168430.

    Hi,

FAGLB03 will show opening balances for open items only for the years before NGL activation. And this only, obviously, if you successfully performed the migration.

    Regards,

    Eli

    Hi,

Please check the sap table 'FAGL_ACTIVEC' whether the indicator for 'GLT0 update' is checked or not. If not, your first phase of new GL implementation has some problem and needs to be rectified.

      Hi,

sap table FAGL_ACTIVEC is OK, it has "GLT0 update" checked.

And there are a lot of open items for the years before NGL activation.

      I´m checking OSS note 1070629.

      Any other idea ? 😊

      Best regards.

      Thanks in advance.
