Diagnostic Agents: Update

Hello!

We installed for some times a Diagnostic Agent on satellite system and connected them to Solution Manager (7.1 SP10).

Now we can see that almost every week a new version of Diagnostic Agent will be released on Service Marketplace.

Question:

Do we need to update each time Diagnoctic Agent to the newest version by deinstallation and new installation with SWPM?

Rule #5:

No need to upgrade Diagnostics Agents (in contrast to SAP Host Agent)

if the DA is having recent version, normally not required to DA upgrade using re-installation for ever latest release

Better upgrade JVM and SAP Kernal,

Hi Alex

Until and unless you face any issues, in monitoring or any other place, it is not required to update DA.

In case of errors also, initially it would best to update Host Agent and then if required, try updating DA.

Regular updates in DA and SAP host Agents are mainly due to updates on support packages various of OS and DBs.
