Hi Guys!
I've experience a problem with Crystal Reports 2011 for SAP B1 9.0 PL11. CR crashes everytime I create new connection folder.
I'm running Windows 8.1 x64.
Got the same problem: going to try what's suggested in this thread and keep you guys posted.
edit 2:Maggie An's suggestion to upgrade to cr for b1 2013 solved this problem for me.

Hi Jack,
From 9.0 PL09, only CR 2013 for B1 is supported. This is because there is a conflict on BOE Runtime which is automatically installed when Integration Package is installed in this one or higher patch.
If you insists in using CR 2011, you need to manually install BOE runtime to a low version.
However I still strongly recommend you use CR 2013, otherwise SAP support will suggest you to use CR 2013 if you encounter any problem.
Thanks,
Maggie

Maggie, this is probably the problem. I was wondering where one could find CR 2013 for B1?
edit: found it at: A- Z Index | SAP Support Portal
This is the explanation/solution!
I've installed Crystal Reports 2013 (after installing previous versions and cleaning up) and then installed the crystal report integration package on top of that, plus the two latest crystal report runtime engine for .NET 4.0 s (32 -64 bit).
It was quite time consuming to figure this all out but I'm glad I got to the bottom of it.
The create new connection and add-in manager work like a charm now.
So, in short: time to upgrade your Crystal Reports for B1 to the latest (2013) version when you're using SAP B1 9.0 or above!
Hi Pieterjan,
CR 2013 for B1 can be downloaded from Software Download Center : https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/support
Choose SAP Business One from menu "Software Downloads" > expand from left side "SAP Business One Products" > Installations > SAP CRYSTAL REPORTS FOR B1 > CRYSTAL REPORTS 2013 FOR B1
Just keep in mind that, to make CR preview in B1 works fine, please check if correct CR runtime (.NET 32bit or 64bit) is installed. 32bit client will install 32 bit runtime automatically and same for 64 bit.
To make SAP Business One connection and Add ins menu works, please make sure correct version of Integration Package together with correct BOE runtime are installed. Install Integration Package will install BOE runtime automatically. ( We only need 32bit BOE runtime in CR for B1). Of course you can also install them seperately.
We have relevant Note 1815476 to explain this.
Hope this clarifies some points.
Thanks,
Maggie An

I've same problem in B1 9.0 PL12 And CR 2011 SP4 running in Windows 8.1 64 bits. The problem happens after install SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package. I have uninstalled all CR components, rebooted computer and reinstalled. So I have installed CR 2011 SP10 and the problem continues...

Hi,
Check SAP note:
1836406 - CR_Replace CR runtime with 2011 SP5 (13.0.5.891)
Thanks & Regards,

Hey Jack,
Firstly PL10 for Crystal Reports 2011 is available. It might be worth trying this patch to make sure it isn't a bug.
Download Here: http://goo.gl/hP4hXe
Then if that doesn't work, a full reinstall of Crystal Reports might be a smart idea.
Remove ALL versions of Crystal Reports (2008 / 2011 / 2013) from your system and manually delete the folders, clear your %temp% folder and use something like CCleaner to remove leftover registry keys. Then make sure your Windows is fully updated through Windows Update.
Then get the Crystal Reports for SAP Business One 2011 from the SAP Service Portal (currently at PL4), install that. Then get the PL10 upgrade from the Business Objects portal above and upgrade it.
This would eliminate a lot of small issues for troubleshooting purposes.

This helped me, I can now create new connections again.
I did patch to PL10.
I would advise people to use a good uninstallation tool as well (I use IOBit's uninstaller, it's free software). I would like to add:
- make sure the SAP BusinessObjects folder is also gone after you've uninstalled everything.
I suspect my problem was due to the crystal reports integration package that I installed (as Maggie An states below and Miguel Salazar Castro reported)
I'm currently not able to investigate any further because of time pressure. I might find out later.
