Wrap text with screen painter

Hi all,

I've created a User Defined Form to hold additional product information. Some of the fields contain large amounts of text, which doesn't wrap / line break as a default.

I am changing the layout of my form via Screen Painter. Is it possible to make the text wrap automatically by using item properties in Screen Painter or will I have to use code to force a line break whenever the text reaches the end of my text box.

What's the best way?

Thanks very much for your help,

Seppi

    Hi Seppi,

which control are you using EditText or ExtendedEditext ?

EditText can't break text - it is single lined.

    ExtendedEditText breaks the text automatically

Can you please elaborate your issue.

    regards,

    Maik

using the checkbox to make it wrap is ok - 'scrollable' tickbox on the screen attributes for the field - but you are limited to the size of the text field, normally I think 255 is the max chars.

you better off creating a long text, hold the textid in your table, and creating a text control instead.
