Suppress Output type in Purchase order 'message' tab

Hi,

Can any one suggest how to suppress the existing output type in purchase order ' selecting from list of output's from message tab'.

We need in database and should not delete. can it be possible to hide from list in PO that user cannot select that output.

I got your requirement, but could you please let me know on what scenario you need this, because if you need the system to perform like this only when there is some specific fields in the PO, like for eg, P.organisation, or vendor, or Document type etc,,,,anything specific to this,.....then i think if  you create a table which will exactly show your target values, like grouping DOC+P.ORG+VN, or any other combination, and then assigning this to one access sequence which will in turn get assigned to the Output type which you want, then i think only that output type will pop up as the other one is not assigned to the access sequence or the combinations you set. Likewise you can suppress one Output type.

Hi Bhanu,

You can try this once.

In NACE,

Choose your application , ie EF -> then output types -> select the output type which you need to suppress/(make it not to have anything to push in PO) -> Go to its General tab  -> then there you can untick "Accecss to Conditions".

Hope this will catch the exact requirement what you are looking for by suppressing the Output Type w/o disturbing the DB.

Check if it can be worked with custom authorization Object.

Where you can restrict based on user profile.

Why don't you restrict the "Message" button for these users.

Check out the document Explicit Enhancement for "Personal Settings" for an User.

You can set the restriction for the Message buttons.

Use the function "MENACH"

More details, just show the document to your ABAP team.

Here we have different outputs for business, they were using only some of those and we have to suppress remaining (means to hide from selection in PO msg tab).

Do you have any suggestion in this??

What do you mean by suppress?

You can deactivate the condition records maintain for that Output type.

Remove the conditions records in MN05 OR NACE

I mentioned in my earlier message, suppress - should not shown in PO message tab drop down list.

We did that, but still it was appearing in PO output list.

Restricting in F4 option does not work until the message type is deleted or removed from config.
