Product hierarchy change in COPA

Dear COPA gurus

I have 3 layer of product category and plan to use Product Hierarchy in
material master to display this layer.

During fiscal year, change of product category is often occurred.

Thus, in CO-PA, since Product Hierarchy is one of characteristics,

It seems it has to change.

So, is there any good way to change product hierarchy?

Create negative posting and corrected posting of CO-PA doc manually via
excel upload or something?

KEND is the solution

You can realign all the posted data to New Prod Hierarchy using KEND..

Note that KEND only chnages the CE4 Table i.e. the Prof Segment info.. It wont update the individual posted line items (CE1 Table)

In short, your KE30 reports based on CE3 table (KE34) would reflect the changes.. The line item reports made from KE94 wont reflect the change

Sorry for lack of info.

My problem is that after getting sales order (Not shipped or billed yet),

product hierarchy is changed. But as of billing, it seems

product hierarchy information to CO-PA is not changed.

Is there solution?

Hi

You can redeternine Prof Segment during Billing using the solution given in Note 425725

That should fix the issue

OSS 425725 is

"In case of the settlement of an internal order to a profitability segment,
the account-based profitability segment is not supplied with the characteristics
which are supposed to be derived from the order master by means of table
lookup."

But, I dont use Internal Order.

And also not used account-based PA.

Changing Product Hierarchy in ERP for the old documents is not easy and not recommended to do. However if you want to report PA with the latest Product hier. you can do it in BW. You can report your existing CO-PA data from master data by creating navigational attibutes. Data everytime can be reported from the lastes Product Hierarchy if you like.
