Hi,

I have created one user define dimension and want to load BW data in that dimension. when i create transformation when i have to select dimesions there this user define dimension is not displayed. can anyone tell me why it is not displaying.

Can you provide the screen-shot to properly explain your requirement..

Anyways, what I understand is you are probably trying to load the master data and you the new dimension is not getting reflected in Excel Client. In that case, you can tried to refresh the dimension from the back end BW system using the program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE & also the other way ie. Tools > Clear Metadata Cache.

Try this if it is the case...

Hi,

You need to check :-

1. The profitcenter dimension in BPC should have the STATUS - "Green".
2. The profitcenter dimension in BPC should be included in a BPC Model.
3. Then, you should login to the BPC Excel Client in that particular BPC model - connection where there is the profitcenter dimension.
4. Then go for the tranformation file validation, mention 0PROFIT_CTR on top and click on the drilldown ,you will find all the dimensions of your BPC model, there select the BPC profitcenter dimension.

I think if you have followed all and logged in with the Admin ID, then you shouldn't have such problem.

Another doubt as you told it dimension should should include in BPC model my question is in any model i should assign this dimension.

Yes, it could be any model where the dimension is assigned.

i have created one customer dimension and model with same name i want to load data in customer dimension for this i have created one customer connection but couldn't able to log in..

You mean to say,you have created a valid model with Dimensions - Category, Entity, Account, Time and Customer(User-defined).

Now you have created a connection for the model - but you are not able to log in ...that could be because you didn't maintain Data Access Profile of this new connection.

my data access is unsecured..and how maintain a data access im new to BPC..

Then you shouldn't have any problem regarding the connection. Just need all the dimension and model to be active. And you log in through excel client and can find the new connection..

have you refreshed the master data from Excel after you created the new dimension?

You have to add the dimension to a model as Andy has said above and if you have already done so, Please check the connection that you are logged into the same model in which you added the user defined dimension.

Yes, once you added to your model then you just need to log onto that model and you will be able to load master data into that dimension.
