GR to blocked stock at warehouse

Hi gurus,

I know 103 and 107 movements and their implications.

But what i need, is a GR to blocked stock valuated at warehouse level.

Now we are making a 101 movement, and then make a 344 to unrestricted to blocked.

I want to make this, in just one step.

Is it possible?

Regards

Hi,

Movement type 103 will update stock at plant level only. It wont update the stock at storage location level. Hence you cant follow the WM part here. Also, the 103 / 107 is posting to GR blocked stock, not to blocked stock.

While doing GR, you may change the stock type to "blocked" and post the material document. System will create TR which you can convert to TO and proceed with WM procedures.

I have tried GR (101) with stock type "blocked". But when i check the material document, the stock type is in "unrestrcited use". And in MMBE the stock is in unrestricted, not in blocked stock at storage level.

What you mean by "TR". By TO, i guess Transfer Order.
I work in spanish, and i am not very use to english terms.

TR is transfer requirement. A precursor to the TO.

Why is 'blocked stock' in your system posting to unrestricted? You may have an user exit/ BADI working which changes during save?

According to this note, i cant make a 101 with blocked stock, isnt it? OSS Note 368259 - No stock type evaluation (MSEG-INSMK) It does not make sense to evaluate goods movements on the basis of the stock type (MSEG-INSMK) because the stock type is not filled in every goods movement: in goods receipts with movement type 101, stock type is filled since movement type is stock type neutral.

Hi,

Yes, TR means Transfer Requirement Number and TO means Transfer Order. Sorry, I didnt elaborate.

If you enter the stock type as blocked stock while doing GR, system will post the stock to blocked stock, unless otherwise a different stock type QI is defined in the material master - QM view. Please the inspection type set up in your material master QM view.

In standard, if there is no QM inspection type set up, and if you set the stock type as blocked stock in GR, system will post the stock to blocked stock. Correspondingly, the TR will be generated with stock category S (blocked stock) and the same will be visible in GR document - WM tab, as shown below:

Actually, according to that note you can make 101 with blocked stock. 101 is a stock type neutral movement, so a stock type has to be specified while carrying out the movement. This is unlike other movement types (like say 344) that will always post to blocked stock.

Anyways, changing stock type in MIGO is very much possible and this should post to blocked stock. You need to investigate why your system is behaving differently.

I suggest do a test in your practice client.

Make a PO, Change the stock type as blocked stock.. Then post GR with movement type 103..

Then again make another PO, post a goods receipt with movement type 107..

then check which movement type can fulfill your requirement..

I think 107 will fulfill your requirement..

Hi Dev, thanks for answer. I know 103 and 107 movement.

In this movements you are not a warehouse level. No one fulfill my requirements.

I need the same effects than making a 101 to a warehouse and then make a 344. To have blocked stock but in warehouse level, not in plant level (like in 107).

Either change the stock type in the PO item delivery tab to 'blocked stock' or change it during GR in MIGO.

Both will make it post to blocked stock directly using movement type 101 itself.

In MIGO, you can make blocked stock mandatory using badi MB_MIGO_BADI
