SAP Gui Version 730 patch Level 7 running on Citrix Xenapp 6.5.
We have an issue with our SAPGui deployment on Xenapp. One particular process where an end user opens an attachment to view
Steps to reproduce: MENU ->BUSINESS WORKPLACE->INBOX->WORKFLOW->GROUP ACCORDING TO TASK -> EARMARKED FUND DOC- APPROVING OFFICER -> Click on Attachment. Then, To reach below screen shot CLICK ON ENVIRONMENT -> OBJECT LINKS then small pop up will appear & click on red circled menu Button. Then, Double click on an underlined link as shown in above screen shot to open attached document. Please see screen shot below. - This causes the 'SAP Gui for windows has stopped working' error.
We can perform the same steps with a local (non Xenapp) sapgui deployment and not get this error. So we assume that it relates to a security or related parameter that we have set on Xenapp. - I am going to ask this questions via an OSS message but I'm hopeful that someone may have seen a similar issue in the past and can assist.?
Appreciate it.
Cheers
Conor
Hello Conor,
Can you check the SAP GUI Installation. Are there any issues reported by the installation check process? Of course SAP will want you to upgrade to core patch 9. One other area to check the security settings. What is the default Action value? Also are you using SAP Signature Theme, if not try and repeat the steps using this theme.
Cheers,
Dan Mead

Hi Conor,
You didn't include your screenshots, but I'm going to make a few guesses. Are the attachments you are opening MS Office files, i.e. Word documents or Excel spreadsheets, etc? If so, is there any difference in the installations of MS Office between your non-Xenapp and Xenapp workstations? Version differences, or perhaps one of them is 64-bit and the other 32-bit?
Regards,
Matt

Thanks Matt - see attached.
We are viewing the files as pdf's (we don't have office deployed on Xenapp).
We've tried on multiple PC's, including the machine where the local sap gui installation works - always the same result..
