Problem in KM Navigation iview

Hi Experts,

I have created the KM navigation iview in the portal.I am able to upload the documents .

   

  But when i click on the any doc/file i am getting the following error.

     

Can anyone tell me how to fix the issue???

Hello Anil,

did you check the trace log with the error ID that is mentioned in the log? Maybe this will give you a clue, where the problem lies.

Do you only get this error when opening the files through your new navigation-iview or does this happen, too, when you try to open a file through the content-administration-tab?

And is the problem with the missing images on display normal on your system?

Hi Stefi,

Thanks for the reply.

The problem exists in the Content admin-->KM content-->files as well as in the KM navigation iview.

In the content admin tab, even i am unable to open the details of the file.

Cannot process the HTTP request to servlet[prt] in [irj] Webapplication

pleace check the traces searching by logid:C000C0A80609098200000000000016D8

Above is the error message which i am getting in the NWA.

Hello Anil,

if you got to the Logviewer in the NWA and take a closer look at a log-entry, you should see the Log-Id in the details of every entry. Just try the mentioned logID in the "Message"-field to filter for the entry it belongs to.

And you should probably change the view of the log to "System Logs an Traces", if that's not already your default view.

1. Refer the SAP note  1818250 - 500 Internal Server Error when accessing useradmin


1897774 - IllegalArgumentException when using encodeHiddenFormField

2. On OS level you can find the trace file,
Trace log location \j2ee\cluster\server0\log\defaultTrace_00.trc

Hi Sri Ram,

I have gone through notes which you have provided me,but didnt helped me to fix the issue.

Can you please tell me what all the KM services need to be activated in the portal to work with KM??

The KM services are active by default, so I do expect the problem is elsewhere.

In your first screenshot you have missing images. Try to find out why you have missing images (you can use google chrome with developer toolbar / http sniffers to see what your browser receives from the server.

It could be due to wrong server names, protocols, authorisation and so on.

Open Google Chrome, press F12 and select the Network tab. Now all http traffic from chrome is logged. Open up the page that fails to load properly.

HTTP code 200, 301 are fine. 404 or 403 are the errors you can do something about it (not found and permissions).

Hi Noel,

Sorry for the late reply.

After applying the note 2002334 i.e after upgrading the  following components with the latest patch level the issue with the Navigation iview resloved and icons are displaying correctly

K             KMC CONTENT MANAGEMENT

        KMC COLLABORATION

        FRAMEWORK EXTENSIONS

        PORTAL BASIS

        PORTAL BASIS API

        WEB DYNPRO RUNTIME

        AJAX RUNTIME.


But still i am facing one issue i.e i am the CM repository which i have created in the System admin-->KM-->content management is not reflecting under the COntent management -->KM Content


Can you please help on that......

Thanks for the reply.

The Note 1840877 is applicaple when we can't access the portal.

But my problem is different i can access the portal, and in KM content when i click on any document i am getting the 500 internal server error.

Any other solutions??

Yes i have done but still i am unable to access the content using Navigation iview but when i use KM Document iview i can access the files in KM.

Hello Anil,

did you check, what I suggested? And please create another navigation iview and see, if the problem stays. Sometimes it's just an issue with the one iview, not the whole type.
