Deactivate batch in single plant only

Hi friends,

Our client want to remove batch in one plant only, and they want to maintain batch in all other plants.

Currently batch are activated in all plants and using batches, how can I deactivate the batch for one particular plant only as stock is available in other plant in batch, Please suggest the solutions accordingly.

Hi,

Please check batch status, check whether it is maintained at plant level, if it is maintained at plant level untick the batch status check against the plant for which u don't need batch management.

Path : SPRO - Logistics General - Batch Management - specify batch level and activate status management - plant with batch status management.

You can remove batch management for a particular plant even with existing stock, provided your batch management is at plant level. SAP provides a standard report for this from Release 4.7 onwards. But you will need to be extremely careful while executing these changes, wrong steps will lead to inconsistencies and lead to problems in future transactions of existing stock. You will need to close any existing physical inventory documents in this plant/material.

Hi

If your Batch management is active at plant level.

Then you can but needs all the stock at that plant to be nil.

And corresponding posting documents also have to be deleted.

Refer the below KBA do understand more about deactivation of batch management.

I don't think its possible to remove the batch management tick from one plant only..

If you remove the batch management from material master - purchasing view, then it will be applicable for all plants.

Also you can't remove the batch management tick if stock will exists within any plant.

Hi,

   Please check the batch level in OMCE transaction and revert back. If the batch is at material level or client level, you cant deactivate the batch for a single plant.

   Refer the KBA: 1521082 - Error M3 530: Change Material to Batch Managed OR Non Batch Managed (field MARA-XCHPF) which explains the requirements for the change.
