What are the major challenges for the end-user in using Positive Time Management

    Hi,

    Since positive time management involves capturing and evaluating actual time data, the major task from end user perspective is to record time events, attendance or absence.

    If there is no record in IT2011, IT2002 or IT2001, then the time evaluation will fail.

    Hence, master data maintenance is the main activity from end user's perspective.

    From implementation perspective, it depends on the client's requirements.

    when using positive time the clock in and out times are compared with the shift schedule. All shift times not covered with attendances from the clock system have to be entered manually. like leave, sickness and so on, although it might be a few minutes but it has to be entered. Normally when using positive time there are timewriters who are checking the results of time evaluation and make the necessary changes and adjustments. Otherwise time evaluation will have errors and that will reflect in payroll

    Hi Experts,

    Thanks you very much.

    The user needs a expert hand on SAP Time Management, is it like that??

    What are the day to day activity to be taken care of by the user- begining of the day & end of the day.

    What are the payroll impcat +Timemgmt has??

    Can not we check the wrong entries in the system before payroll processing?

    Which all additional activities has to be done if wrong entries are done?

    Can we not get the punch in & punch out with negative time managemnt with TMSTA-9?

    Please guide.

    • The user needs to clock in and clock out if comes to office. (Through time recording system).

      If he is absent, he needs to apply absence. If he is not in office but attending office work, he needs to apply attendance. This can be done using ESS/MSS or PTMW.

      Negative time management means evaluation of planned times plus deviation and not the actual times. The time schema for positive time management with time events is different from negative time management.

      If wrong entries are done, one needs to first investigate why the wrong entries have come. If the time recording system not working fine? Is the interface not working fine?

      The wrong entries can be corrected by changing the data in the respective infotypes using ESS/MSS or PTMW.

    I have heared that through some of my colleagues maintaining a Positive time management much critical in nature than negative.

    There are big number of data that has to be taken care off & regular checks has to be in place.

    What checks are to be in place.

    Please guide.
