BPC Drill down Qs

Hi

We have BPC 10.0. Does the drill down feature to BW or ECC require the Internet transaction server or can it be implemented through Enterprise portals?

Hi Nicky,

The functionality you are looking for to move from BPC to ECC or BW is not drill-down, it is known as Drill-Through.

Drill-down doesn't require ITS.But Drill-Through requires ITS(Internet transaction server) facility.

Hi Nicky,

As far as I know The drill down feature is not required the INTERNET connection. Drill down feature is used to know/study  the bottom/granular level performance of an organization.See below examples I hope you may understand something.

Drill Down- performs an expansion of a parent member.

For example, you drill down from 2011.TOTAL to quarters in 2011.

Drill Through - jumps the user to another system and performs a look up based on which cell the user's cursor is in.the Drill through functionality requires the INTERNET connection. If you want detail information regarding drill through refer SAP 430 material.
