webi and bex prompt value sorting are different

Hi all,

I have a report based on Bex query and Query it self has a prompt.when it is executed on bex analyzer as it seen below , prompt values  appears sorted, 

But it's not the case in webi or in any BO tool, It's not sorted and there is no way to sort in prompt panel.

Users want to see it in order, and really insist on it! :S

Hi

go to query designer in sap

and select that field and apply sort on that field according to TEXT because by default the sort is applied on the KEY so your looking the difference in both thing

Click on field name to get it sorted either in ascending/descending order in the LOV selection pane

I am yet to understand why the sorting order is different in the report from what it is on the BEx query prompt.

Is there any setting on the prompt object either in BEx query or report that you have explicitly made?

You can try this: Create a customer exit variable for the prompt object.

In the code of this exit, sort all values and then populate the cust exit variable.

Use this variable for the object in the query.
