hi

my question is

when u created infoobjects in attributes tab we marked attribute check box ?what is the reason for this?

and tell what r the atributes,and tell me difference between navigational attri and display attri?

Hi,

Related objects grouped together as Attributes to avoid redundent data in cubes.

Ex: 0mat_group is attribute of 0material . while loading data to cube we need not to load 0mat_group,if we load 0material we can get the 0at_group as master data .

Display attribute is one which is used only for display purpose in the report.Where as navigational attribute is used for drilling down in the report.We don't need to maintain Nav attribute in the cube as a characteristic(that is the advantage) to drill down.

Hi Ashwin,

The main reason why a attribute is made "navigational" is that you can then drill down on that characteristic in your reports whcih is not possible when the attribute is a display attribute. You would need to make the attribute navigational both in the info-object and in the data target as well.
