Analysis Office connectivity with Universe

Hi All,

Can SAP Analysis Office for Excel connects to BO 4.0 Universe?

If not do we have any other alternate Excel based tool which connects to BO 4.0 universe.

Please suggest.

we do have a webi and export to excel.

Requirement:

1. We have a BO 4.0 universe.

2. Users use the BO 4.0 and create webi reports for excel dump as they are flexible in excel.

3. Can we eliminate Webi and allow any other Excel based tool to directly connect to BO 4.0 universe.
