Hi,
I need to build a custom datasource to extract ecc hierarchy to BW.
I have generated the datasource in ECC manually through BW07 and enhanced the code in CMOD for the controlling area compuonded IOBJ and replicated to BW. But unable to see the set name/hierarchy name in BW ( hierarchy tab) of the infopackage. How do we resolve this issue ? Please advise.
Thanks
DR
Hi Daniel,
I think you are doing your things in one client and loading to BW from other client. Use SCC1 and transfer the changes from one client to other and then start loading into it.

Hi DR,
1)s that BW to source system connection is fine?.
2) Please go to connection parameter in source system and check whether the system name of the source system is same as yours. It could have been possible that basis team did a connection name as like your SS name but which is actually a different SS.

Rajesh
Rajesh,
I can see the datasrouce in RSA6 and I can see the datasource in RSA3 as well. While running the DS in RSA3, and execute it. I am unable to select the hierarchy which exist in GS03. We have so many sub-group's in GS03 for which we need to select the sub-group name while extracting that respective hierarchy right ?
I am unable to see the sub-group name/set name which exist in GS03, in the hierarchy selection in RSA3. Its not about the datasource. Its about the hierarchy selection either in RSA3 or infopackage selection ( for that respective hierarchy) . DS is replicated fine to BI.
Hope the picture is clear now ?
Thanks
DR
Hi DR,
Can you try the below please?.
1) go back to GS03. Enter the SET name and press enter which will take to the sub-ordinate sets. Double click on each SET line to display the details.
Field: FGr which will be utilized for the Sign reverse activation for a particular line or node or account. If any of the SET line has a value ‘4’ then that line will be marked as ‘X’ in the actual hierarchy

Hi Suchitra,
I have exactly done the same steps. But not yet mapped to the BW MD as after creating the infopackage I am unable to see the required hierarchy in the hierarchy selection tab. I have also checked "check the available hierarchy in ecc" to check and replciated the ds. By the way I dont see it in the RSA3 in ECC end as well....while pressing the F4 in the hierarchy selection in RSA3. Any advise.
Thanks
DR
Hi,
Again replicate your data source and activate.
Create a new info package and see.
Thanks
