Hi Gurus,

Could anybody please explain this concept of calculation base date and cut off date for benefits salary, age and seniority calculation. I read standard SAP documentation but did not get it. If you could share some example. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Arun,

Cutoff date refers to date on which actually the eligibility for salary, age and seniority is determined by comparing it against employees base date which is usually his birth date(in case of age) or hiring date(in case of salary and seniority).

    Example-

If employee turns 50 years to begin catch up contribution in Novemeber 2014 but client needs it to only starts effective 01 January used as critieria for age group determination then in this case Cutoff date for age basis is set to 01 January to begin with age group slab for 50 years and uses the age group for 50 years contribution on 01 January 2015 i,e, post 2 months from November 2013.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Ameet
