Can you please advise the reason for displaying product multiple times and how to avoid these?

Hi Nag,

There is no problem with such a data as it signifies Product's Bill of Material ,which we need to consider while preference determination. If you go to the Display BOM area in Preference Master Data in GTS cockpit, you will find the difference and mostly it will be the difference of Plants in such cases.

I hope you got it now.

In case of any further queries, please let me know it.

Hi Nag,

Please try to make the user understand that this is a normal GTS setting and please try to educate an end user that this is appearing due to different BOM's for different plants. They have to accept it and if they are not clear with this then how can they handle the critical GTS system with a lot of different other analysis to do apart from this.

I am sure they will understand the concept behind this with a little bit of informative session taken by you.

Aman

Hi Nag,

That selection field uses Search Help /SAPSLL/PRG, which displays data from View /SAPSLL/V_PRG.  Unfortunately, multiple entries can occur due to additional Plant Models.

I agree that the display is not good, and I think you have two options here:

  1. Create an OSS incident, and try to persuade SAP to agree and remove the duplicate entries from the results list.

  2. Create a Search Help Exit to remove the duplicate entries, and assign it to the Search Help.  Of course that would involve making a "Repair" to the object.

Personally, I would try the OSS route first, on the basis that the existing display is not logical or useful, and leads to confusion for the users.
