Issue with comments when I insert a row in a SAP BPC 10 NW Input Schedule

Former Member

Hello,

I have the EPM 17 patch 1 client for SAP BPC 10 NW.

I have an Input Schedule with comments. When I insert a row with the right button of the mouse I lose all the comments.

The comments are in the data base, but when I send the Input Schedule data to send the new row, I lose the comments in the data base too.

If I refresh the Input Schedule before sending data, the comments comes back but I lose the new row.

How I could solve this issue?

Regards,

Miguel.

Hi Miguel,

It depends on how the input schedule is designed, what formulas are used for saving comments etc...

Please describe in details with screenshots.

Hi Vadim,

The steps are the following:

1. This is my Input Scheldule:

2. I insert the new row and I lose all the comments:

3. If I send data, the system sends blank comments and I lose the comments in the data base:

Miguel.

Instead of just nice pictures can you provide formulas for storing comments?

Also local members setup etc...

The formulas for storing comments are "EPMSaveComment" linked to the comment cell.

=EPMSaveComment($E$22;$A$3;$C$4;$C$5;$C$6;$D$22;$C$22;$A$22;$C$10;$E$5;$B$22;$C$13;$C$14)

When I refresh, the comment is in the cell, but after I insert the new row the comment disappears of the cell.

If I don't use the row insert tool, the Input Schedules runs very well, it sends data, it sends comments, etc...

The Input Schedule is very simple, it only has one column with account ids, one column with data, one column with comments and one column with formulas for storing comments.

Miguel.

Hi,

I think it is a EPM add-in bug

Did you try in SP17 patch 2? If it is same in patch 02 then better to raise a message to SAP.

Thanks,

Raju
