Hi,

I am having an issue while trying to create a new SAP Connection to the SAP Server.I am using SMP 3.0 SP3  30 day trial Cloudshare version.Need to use the demo Flight RFCs and create MBOs from it.But whenever I am trying to create new connection its showing Jco error.I have provided the correct credentials but still not able to locate the issue. Please refer to the screenshot.

Please guide me.

Thanks,

Subhajit.

You should give the complete address of the application server.

Ex.

Note: MBO based development was discouraged by SAP, the recommended approach is using Odata. Tutorial Ex. SMP 3 hybrid app with zero coding.

Thanks Midhun. It works. Can you please tell me why SAP is discouraging Object api approach as It will be really helpful for me to give a try to odata as well.

A reason might be, since MBO is a proprietary solution and  Odata is a standard protocol for creating and consuming data APIs, Odata is more familiar to developer community and it can be consumed in types of apps easily, ex. native, hybrid and web.
