Settlement to AuC with Revenue

Hi Experts,

This is my scenario..

The AuC is created at Level 2 WBS.

Level 2,3,4 and 5  have Cost and revenue. With settlement rule these values are settled to superior WBS and finally to level 2.

My requirement is to settle Only Cost to AuC. not revenue. I tried source structure. But didn't work for AuC settlement.

Any help?

Which cost element(type) you have maintained in your source structure?

Is it a revenue element?

I tried maintaining the source structure with COST and REV.. but we cannot do that at level 2 where the settlement happens at AuC level.

Hi,

As I know, if you have selected Settlement receiver Object type as FXA (For AUC), then revenue will be ignored and only cost will be settled to Asset.

Revenue will be settle if you select Profitability Segment (PSG Object Type) as Settlement Receiver.

Check That.

We do not have Profitability Segment. The AuC is at level 2 WBS and when I try to to settlement I am getting an error message" Revenue cannot be settled to Asset"  DO you any settings to Ignore revenue?

Well.. One option is to select/filter line items which are not revenue, in CJIC. And define a settlement rule for those selected line items only. After that goto menu bar->Environment->Settlement.

It's very helpful for individual projects. My issue is all of my projects have this and every month we cannot do this manual steps for each projects.

I am trying to find a mechanism to ignore revenue while settling to AuC every month.

Hi,

For collective maintaining settlement rule, You can develop a BDC/LSMW with the help of you abaper. So whenever you want to ignore settlement, just maintain settlement rule from that BDC program/LSMW.

For collective settlement of Projects/WBS, you can use CJ8G. Just you have to create a Variant there.

My Issue is not creating the collective settlement, I can do that with CJ8G  with a variant. I need to find a way to ignore REV while executing the settlement to AuC.

Since FXA as receiver comes in Settlement rule Only after running the first settlement, I cannot pre populate the source structure in the settlement rule.

As i already said in my last reply, Before settlement, you have to first maintain settlement rule only on actual cost not for revenue line items. BDC can be a option for mass creating settlement rule like this.

Have you discuss with your abaper?

As you are aware, The settlement rule get generated for AuC, only after the first settlement.

Yes, Sorry. You are right. This worked with only when you you do full/partial settlement from AUC to Asset/WBS. Means after settling WBS actuals to AUC.
