Hello, I want to know if I create a local formula in BEX query, would it come in my webi report? i don't see my formulas. i only see the keyfigures that i brought in from the cube. If it is by design, is there a link that tells us what wil carry over and what will not carry over in bobj environment from BEX?
Thanks.
Yes you can see all the measure and dimension.
if you use RKF and CKF that you have to move it to columns in query designer.
but you will be not able to see the formula in webi that you use to calc the KF.
NOTE:
which ever KF you want to see in webi query should be in COLUMN of BEX QUERY DESIGNER
and which Every dimension to be show in webi query should be either in Free Characteristics or in ROW of BEX QUERY DESIGNER

Hi Venkat,
By default, in Universe outline visible in WebI Query Panel you will have all objects defined as "Always Show" and "Hide (Can Be Shown)", so any object added to axes "Rows", "Columns" and "Free Characteristics" should be accessible.
There is a limitation for KeyFigures defined with "Local Calculations" : if you define a function in parameters "Calculate Result As..." or "Calculate Single Values As...", or if you check box "Cumulated" then KeyFigure will be skipped during Universe generation. If this is case, then traces from DSL Bridge service should have a warning about skipped Object. (this is documented in WebI user Guide, see at 'Restrictions when using BEx queries')
=> If Query Panel doesn't contain your new KeyFigure, you should first go check design of object in BEx Query Designer.

Loic

Yes all your formulas, ckf and rkf will be seen in webI when you consume BEx query using BICS.
Please check your connection once again,.Save the query again.
See if this works or not.
