Problem with transport DS

Hi, all.

I have faced with problem when I try transport filebased datasource that used to load hierarchy.

I put my datasource to transport request, but they saved in request like

Datasource Replica R3TR ISFS

And when I try transport this request I get error

Datasource does not exist in source system of version A

Anybody can help me solve this problem?

Hi,

As you said flat file then first you need transport Flat file source system details.

later you can transport info osurce/data source.

I need transport flat source system, if I don't change system I only create new DS?

your doing transportation means moving to one to another system.

if don't change the system just create the DS based on the flat file.

It's not help.

We have very strange situation. When we create transfer rule to our infoobject, automaticly create ds, but with ds was created in 2011 and with another people. We try delete with ds, but situation don't change, this ds respawn like a phoenix and come again.

We try do some operation in test system, but get error like thas was in transport

DS doesn't exist in version A.

We try transport only DS without anything, it transport ok, but we cannot find thim after this in test system.

In Source system, please make sure that below is active

DataSouce (DS) in dev. ----->  DataSource in Quality ( Collect DS in a TR (Transport req.) and send it in quality system. (Make sure u are collecting extract structure as well)

If DS is active in noth dev and qua system in Source system then:

Come to BI side

Again we need to achieve below.

DataSouce in dev. ----->  DataSource in Quality

Here you take ur DS and IO (InfoObject) and create ur transfer rule (generally we use InfoSource in between and create update rule to IO but its always not necessary)

activate your flow.

Goto transport connection and collect DataSource, transfer structure and communication struture(if you are opting to use infosoure as well) and send the TR in quality.

pls try above and write back at which point u faced any issue (if any )

also share some screenshot where u see error. It might give some idea to look into if I am mistaken understanding ur question.

We cannot transport DS from source DEV to source QUA, because our source system is flat file Source system.

Our problem is in DS not transport in QUA system(we don't see it). Maybe we need do any procees like replication for flat file system?

Hi Fanil,

Could you please check whether in ur QUA system conversion of Logical system is maintained for flat file source.

you can check this at RSA1 --> Tools ( in menu) --> Conversion of logical system.

Maintain same entry for flat file source as that of in DEV.

your loading form ECC dev to ECC taget system fallow the my suggestion.

if you are loading through flat file fallow the raman suggestion.

its saying DS does not exist the source system.

can you collect the one more time TR for DS.

find the google "ECC data source transportation".
