Second saturday as half day working

Dear folks,

I have a requirement that every second saturday as half day working for every employee,remaining saturdays as normal working days.

Can you guide me please??

Hi,

You should create a WSR with 6 days 1 OFF pattern and generate it.

Later on, replace 2nd saturday of every month with half day DWS using PT02.

If you wish to do it dynamically, you can do the following:

Create a PWS with 6D1X where 6D implies 6 days working and 1X imples 1 OFF. Let us say that the DWS is D001 for full day and for half day, it is D002.

Create a monthly time type ABCD (example). Whenever it is a Friday, add a value = 1 to this monthly time type in a PCR.

In another PCR, read the value of HRS=MABCD on every Saturday. On 2nd Saturday, the value of HRS=MABCD will be 2. Whenever the value of ABCD is 2 on a Saturday, use operation DAYPGD002 to replace the existing DWS D001 with DWS D002.

You should include both these PCRs in your time schema before functions P2001 and P2002.

I don't have any documents related to ESS and Payroll. However, for payroll, I would recommend Indian Payroll book by P. K. Agrawal.

After all these and placing before P2001 and P2002, the DWS is not getting replaced.

so please let me know the alternative.
