Hi Experts,

How to get the Role from the Organization Structure based on the given User?

Kindly let me know if in case we have any Function Modules or Classes to fetch the role based on the given User.

Quick responses will be highly appreciated.

This depends on the type of the rule, If it's a FM there is no generic way since the user is calculated only when the process is run. (for example the manager in rule 138).

If it is a responsibility rule you will have to check the connection between the user->resposibily->rule,

or user->person->position->resp->rule. you can go over the tables or as your HCM team to create an evaluation path for you (transaction OOAW) and then use the RH_STRUC_GET function module.

ROLE of a User ? I think you are looking for organization or Position of a user. You can check the following:

1.) Check the T-Code PPOSE and search based on User. You will get User option on left side.

     OR

2.) Also if you can play with HCM tables you can easily get the details from table PA0105 and HRP1001.

Also you can check the FM RH_STRUC_GET .
