SAP Java Stack SP Upgrade Error.

I am upgrading the portal system (SP Upgrade) and encounter the following error as

Solution

In order the deployment to succeed and the update of the width of the primary key columns of table KMC_WF_SUBSTITUTE to be accomplished, there should be no data in this table. In order to workaround the problem in cases when there is data in the table, the following steps should be followed:
1. Export and backup the content of table KMC_WF_SUBSTITUTE
2. Delete database table KMC_WF_SUBSTITUTE
3. Upgrade the UWL/JWF components (the deployment will not fail with the described above error)
4. Import the content that was exported on step 1 into table KMC_WF_SUBSTITUTE

Please consult documentation for particular database release how to follow above steps in database operation.

Solution

Solution has been provided with NW04 SP22. For NW04 SP21 please follow the instructions below to implement a workaround

• Extract the patched com.sap.netweaver.bc.wf.db.sda from the attached bc-wf-db-sda.zip
• Replace the sda in the KMC upgrade content folder : ...\SAPINST-CD\KMC\JDDSCHEMA\
• Restart the upgrade

Search SDM log with this component and paste the log contents.

Hi Clement,

Steps to follow

- open the configtool and navigate to File->Safe mode.

- Make it NO for all the instances

- Restart the system.

Once the system up , then resume the SUM tool.
