Offset speciifcation "+262" Line-size issue

Hi,

I know maximum field length is 255.

But I developed onereport with line-size is 361.

I am using one if statement like below....

If v_sel+262(30) = .....

but I am getting error....offset speciifcation "+262" is greater than or equal to field length ("255").

Can some body throw light for this issue,please?
