Unable to delete parked document posted in 2013

Hello All,

We have parked one document in year 2013. Now we would like to delete the parked document.

But while deleting the document we are getting an error message, stating that Periods closed for transaction: CO Through-postings from FI.

We have tried delete the same document in our quality client , it is not throwing any error (periods closed in Quality client also).

Can you please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Thanks for your support in advance.

Thanks

Prasad

      Try via FBV4.

Also check the following path both in your test system and production system.

IMG->Financial Accounting->Document->Document Parking->Change Posting Date for Parking Documents

If it doesn't allow you to delete even after FBV4, you may want to leave it as it is, since it doesn't have any impact (Probably a duplication error if you are trying to process the same invoice). However if you would still need to get this deleted, you may want to take your ABAPers help to see why it is not allowing you in Production and why it is allowing you to delete it in Test Systems.

As suggested by Trinath, please check your OKP1 settings too.

      Thanks,

    Hello Prasad,

Check the T. code OKP1. The period for CO through Postings from FI must be closed here.

    Hi,

Double click on the error message and check the long text of the error message. You need to open the lock in the transaction OKP1 for specified period CO Through-postings from FI. There is real time integration of CO-FI..

    Hello All,

Actually my issue got resolved without open the periods in OKP1.

The reason is one of the line item have cost object as network, it was already closed.

We have tried open the network and then tried to delete the parked document.

System allowed us to delete the parked document.

Thank you all for ur support with various analysis.

    Thanks

    Prasad
