Pooled Capacity

Hi All,

Need some clarity on pooled resources concept in APO. I create a pooled resource P1 which has a pooled capacity of 2 labour resources(L1+L2).  I assign this pooled capacity to 3 machines --M1,M2 and M3. According to my understanding -- When I am running an order on M1 then P1 will be blocked. This means that out of 2 labour resources --one say L1 will be working and other(say L2) will be idle -- as pooled capacity is considered as finite constraint and only one order can run at a time.

This will mean that all the time one labour resource will be wasted while it should not be the case. Is my understanding correct ?

      Hi,

No Pooled capacity is multi resource where at a time more than one activity can be performed. So if your pulled capacity has  number of capacities as pooled capacity P1 can be used for one more order.

    Hello,

I guess, you can run one resource at a time by putting number of capacities in polled resource as one.

You can directly do it APO and check the results.

    Thnaks,
