Dear SAP experts,

Hi,

I am facing the following challenge in our company and should to find the best solution for that. I do appreciate if you would share your knowledge or experience regarding it:

Actually in our business we have a branch company which is operating in another country. The branch company charges the head office each month for certain tasks they do, and in return the head office sends the branch company payment.

Now my challenge is how to define this business structure into the SAP business one 9.0. I already acquired SBO 9.0 with license for 4 users.

I will be thankful if you can give me any roadmap or tips.

Best regards,

Sina.

Thank you experts for your kind replies.

As far as I understand, there are 2 possible ways: intercompany integration and branch accounting.

Do they need any special license or can be implemented by normal license (I have SBO 9.0 PL5)?

And which method is easier to implement?

@Gupta Thatikonda:

Is it better to create different DBs for each branch or use only one DB for all? What is/are difference(s)?

Thanks and regards,

Sina.

Hi

Since two branches are in two different countries as per statuary purposes it is better to create two Dbs always, if both branches operating individually.

If the the foreign branch also maintained by head office, we can go for the single DB so that Consolidated financial statements can be taken for management.

Since we can always make customized reports it is better to go with separate Dbs and make the inter-company integration.

Hi Sina Jan,

different countries have different lawsets, hence you need Intercompany, multibranch or even complicated cost accounting will not do.

Please see the landing page for Intercompany, which will inform you of the details of the solution, licensing etc:

Hi

If you are implementing SBO for the both branches in one DB go for the Segmentation wise accounts

and for the inter branch transactions, create inter branch offset accounts for the all kind of bookings and payment.
