Error when multiple WSDL url used in dashboard

Hi All,

I have created 2 WSDL url based on 2 report blocks out of 1 webi report. When i consume these wsdl in the dashboard it gives the following error.

If use one of them it works fine. Any suggestions,if i am missing any settings ?

All,

We just upgraded from 4.0 Sp4 to 4.1 sp4 patch 2.

I have a couple of dashboards that have WSDLs running before the dashboard loads.  3 to be exact.

Randomly, one fails to run.  Throwing error attached.

If tested by making a new dashboard with one WSDL.  Even with one, I get this error.  Randomly.

They test out fine from within Webi (internet rich client) and the QaaWS local client tool..

On a side note.  Executing the dashboard via preview fails every time.  If I run the dashboard from the launch pad, the WSDLs randomly run.

Maybe related...  When using WEBI local client, the WSDL test tools, do not work at all.  From the Webi internet rich client, they are fine.

I know..more than one issue here, but maybe related?

ideas?

thanks

jim

Hi James,

This is a known issue.

Please refer to SAP note 2079360

The workaround for now is to ensure both queries are run sequentially (one after another)

or When creating the BIWS in WRC, ensure each web service is saved under a different web service name

Can't get to Note.   To your comment about sequentially, I can setup a dashboard with a single WSDL in it..and a refresh connection button.  50/50 shot that it runs.

I did some digging in our DEV box we also upgraded.  I cannot make it happen.

Hi James,

You should be able to access the note now.

So is it linked to another issue with web services SAP note 2089174  ?

This one is also under investigation by the developer. So you should ideally raise an incident in order to get a progress update.

Hi Jennifer,

We were able to fix the issue as per the note 2079360

Hi Santosh,

Check whether the issue is associated with specific web service. It may be that one out of the two web services is failing. So test the web services individually in dashboard, one ws at a time.

Also, try re-creating the web services again.

Tried one ws at a time. It works individually. but when both ws added it does not work.

Hi Santosh,

As suggested by Niraj did you try re-creating them.
Are you refreshing both the connections simultaneously?? Try refreshing one before components are loaded and other on connection refresh button.

Try to create webi report on both the web services.
First you will get to enter only only wsdl but when you come to the window where you have to drag dimension and set filter; you will have a Add query option on top left.

Check whats the behavior when you create webi report on both the web services.

We are also facing the same issue. Once Dashboard with multiple WS are running on BO 4.1 this creates a problem. We applied note 2078772 as per SAP recommendatioon, but it did not help. The same dashboard with same WSDL is working fine in BO 4.0

Right now we are on call with SAP guys and they clue less so far.

Hi Santosh,

Is there any specific structure in the Webi report such as breaks or hidden elements?

Which version of Dashboards are you using?

I tested in BI4 and it seems to work fine.

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

We are using BI4.1 Support pack 2 Patch 4 of dashboards.

No specific structure, just a normal 2 blocks of report from same webi report.

thanks,

Santosh

Interesting, no suggestions.

Anybody who has used more than 2 blocks of report in single dashboards ?
